Book Boyfriends

It's Valentine's Day!!! In the name of love, we've made a ragtag list of some of our favorite leading men in literature.

1. Mr. Darcy - Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

Obviously. It's Fitzwilliam Darcy. The OG broody hero. Looks great in a suit (also looks great walking out of a pond, drenched) always a plus. Not to mention his comically terrible proposal and then his sincere and intense declaration of love. *sigh* Excuse us while we go watch the movie and eat our bodyweight in chocolate.

2. Mr. Knightley - Emma by Jane Austen

While we're talking about Jane Austen books, we can't overlook Mr. Knightley. Hands down, a more easily likable guy than Mr. Darcy. A total heartthrob of a gentleman. He'll dance with girls just so they don't feel left out. He'll have supper with your dad. He'll tell you when you've put your foot in your mouth. And if he didn't love you so much, maybe he'd be able to talk about it more... ugh. The best.

3. Aragorn - Lord of the Rings Trilogy by J.R. Tolkien

Aragorn somehow gives "knight in shining armor" vibes and "dark and mysterious" vibes at the same time. Would I trust this fictional man with my life? Yes, yes I would. Add in the fact that he's committed to his girl even when he thinks she's left him for some immortal paradise (We love a man who's faithful) AND he's a king. Aragorn is a total catch.
