Remember those pre-pandemic days when we looked forward to vacations, weekend trips, concerts, new restaurants, museums??? Me too. I’m definitely missing traveling and live music and new experiences. But just like always, I find solace in books! Here are some books that give us a bad case of Wanderlust!
The Brothers Maledetti Series - Nichole Van
The entire series is a big fat love letter to Florence, Italy. I have an entire list of rentals in Florence saved in my airbnb app because of these books. Not to mention the food! And at the end of Gladly Beyond, Nichole even provides recipes for some of the dishes she writes about, y’all. She’s too good for us!

Simple Wild Series - K.A. Tucker
The covers alone will make you want to buy some hiking boots and go be at one with nature. Simple Wild and Wild at Heart make up an emotional series that will have you putting Alaska on your travel wishlist AND calling your dad to tell him you love him.

The Vine Witch - Luanne G Smith
Ok, so this is a story set in turn of the century France, and I’m pretty sure Chanceaux Valley is fictional, BUT it will still make you want to spend a month touring wine country, wearing loose flowy dresses, and sampling French cuisine.

Find Me - Anne Fraser
Ok, this is a weird one, I know. It’s about a serial killer who buried his victims in the Mojave Desert. BUT in my defense I’ll say this - I’ve never once been interested in desert locations until I read about it in Anne Fraser’s words. She makes it sound like a religious experience, and I would love to just go to Joshua Tree at night like once in my lifetime.
